MITCHELL AKIYAMA (CA)

Mitchell Akiyama is a Montreal based composer and artist. He runs the intr_version record label and has recorded for Sub Rosa, Raster-Noton, Substractif, Staalplaat, and several others. He has performed and presented audio/visual works in North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia. Mitchell also records under the monikers : Helvetica, and in duos Désormais or Avia Gardner.
He is interested in plants, spices, unconventional ways of playing conventional instruments, and cabinets of curiosity.
