TAYLOR DEUPREE (US)

Taylor Deupree lives and works in a renovated sneaker factory in Brooklyn, NY. In 1997 he founded the 12k label as a center for minimal, digital music for artists from around the globe. In late 2000 he and collaborator Richard Chartier started the LINE sublabel to further question the ideas of minimalism and and its relationship to listening and use in sound installations. Deupree's recent works have been exploring the aesthetics of stillness and frozen time within his framework of sparse, fragmented ambient textures, inspired by his interests in photography, architecture, and design.
