RECIPROCESS : + / vs.
Vol. 3

documenting the process of musical reciprocality between Philippe Petit & friends
[bleep 39]

A few years ago BiP_HOp had started a series called "Reciprocess".
To celebrate 10 years since the inception of the label + my 25 years of activism/DJing, I composed a 70+ minute soundtrack, cut it into pieces which were sent to friends to add their spices to.

The Wire magazine liked the idea and agreed to give it away with their issue # 301, in March 2009. www.thewire.co.uk

The Cd is not for resale and given away to anyone mailordering a release in our BiP_Hop catalog.

Many thanx to Division aléatoire : a side project from Cabaret Aléatoire in Marseille, a venue where we have organised a great deal of our BiP_HOp Generation events. Division aleatoire is meant to become an eclectic label attached to stylistic and eclectic musics. They supported the Reciprocess concept and are working on new releases from Markovo and Dondolo.

1. BELA EMERSON (vocals from RANDALL FRAZIER) & Philippe Petit

Bela Emerson is a pioneering electric cellist who builds layers of rhythm and sound from every part of her instrument: sounds are looped, take on lives of their own, bounce off each other... The effect, as anyone who’s heard her will testify, is mesmeric.
Her 4th album « Hespera » is now out on BiP_Hop

Randall Frazier is the force behind "Orbit Service," A Denver, Colorado-based psychedelic musical effort.
"Where the more sociopathic side of Pink Floyd meets the twisted musical imagery of the Legendary Pink Dots and Edward Ka-Spel, as unlikely as it seems. Emotionally draining and highly recommended." - François Couture, All Music Guide
